Gadchiroli, June 1 -- : A same-sex relationship allegedly ended in a gruesome murder in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district after a man reportedly slit his friend's throat following a dispute over marriage, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred near Devda village in Etapalli taluka, under the jurisdiction of Halewara Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Satishkumar Jagdishprakash Nisad (32), a resident of Nagepalli village in Aheri taluka, while the accused, Suraj Haldar (30), hails from Mirgan village in Odisha's Nabarangpur district.
According to police, Nisad, who operated a garage business, had come in contact with Haldar through Instagram a few months ago.
