Srinagar, April 29 -- Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference President and MLA from Handwara, Sajad Lone, on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the BJP, National Conference (NC), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alleging collusion and "match-fixing" in the 2025 Rajya Sabha elections.
The revelation through an RTI that the PDP had no polling agent in the Rajya Sabha elections has sparked a political row. In the October 2025 polls-the first after the abrogation of Article 370-the National Conference won three seats, while BJP's Sat Sharma secured the fourth with 32 votes despite having only 28 MLAs, defeating NC's Imran Dar and fuelling suspicions of cross-voting and horse-trading.
