Saitual becomes Mizoram's first district to attain 'Surakshit' status in HIV campaign

Aizawl, Sept. 8 -- Saitual has become the only district in Mizoram to attain 'Surakshit' status under the National AIDS Control Organisation's Mobilisation AIDS Suraksha (MAS) campaign after achieving all three of the 95-95-95 HIV treatment and prevention targets.

Under the UNAIDS-linked 95-95-95 targets, 95 per cent of all people estimated to be living with HIV should know their status, 95 per cent of those diagnosed should receive antiretroviral therapy (ART), and 95 per cent of those on treatment should achieve viral load suppression.
