Chandigarh, Aug. 2 -- - Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday stepped up the BJP's campaign in Punjab, accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of failing to curb the drug problem while promising to address the long-pending demands of denotified and nomadic tribes if his party forms the next government in the state.
Speaking in Faridkot after inducting noted eye specialist Dr Sanjeev Goyal and several local supporters into the BJP, Saini said Punjab was looking for a political alternative. He claimed the BJP's governance model had delivered results in states where it is in power and expressed confidence that the party would emerge stronger in Punjab ahead of the 2027 Assembly election.
