Kurukshetra, Nov. 1 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday highlighted Gurukul Kurukshetra's 180-acre natural farming facility, where crops are grown without chemical fertilisers or pesticides, citing it as a model for farmers across Haryana and northern India. He also emphasised the need to make education accessible to the most disadvantaged sections of society.
Addressing a function marking the centenary of freedom fighter and social reformer Swami Shraddhanand's martyrdom and the 114th foundation anniversary of Gurukul Kurukshetra, Saini said the institution demonstrated how traditional Indian values, modern scientific thinking and environmentally sustainable agriculture could contribute to national development.
