Bhubaneswar, June 24 -- Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has reinforced its role in strengthening India's maritime defence capabilities by supplying the entire requirement of 5,700 tonnes of special defence-grade steel for three newly commissioned Indian Navy vessels.
The vessels, INS Dunagiri, an advanced stealth frigate; INS Agray, an anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft; and INS Sanshodhak, a large survey vessel ,were formally inducted into the Indian Navy on June 21 during a commissioning ceremony at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
