Seoul, Jan. 16 -- South Korea's National Assembly on Friday passed a new comprehensive special prosecutor bill to continue investigations into former President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife, Kim Keon-hee, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The bill was approved at a plenary session of the National Assembly after being pushed forward by the ruling Democratic Party of Korea. The bill aims to address unresolved issues and newly raised suspicions left inadequately examined by three previous special prosecutor teams whose investigations have concluded.
