Lucknow, Sept. 13 -- The widening gap between power demand and availability in Uttar Pradesh has exacerbated the power crisis in rural areas.
The state is experiencing its largest rural power crisis to date, and frequent power outages have created widespread distress in villages.
Awadhesh Kumar Verma, Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Consumer Council and member of the State Advisory Committee, said here on Sunday that while claims of 18 hours of power supply in rural areas are being made, the reality is completely different.
