Thane, March 30 -- Amid ongoing rumours of petrol shortage, incidents of fuel theft have reportedly increased in Ulhasnagar city, creating concern among residents.

Several cases have emerged where petrol has been siphoned off from parked two-wheelers, particularly in the Hiraghat area. Vehicle owners discovered the thefts when their bikes failed to start in the morning, revealing empty fuel tanks.

According to reports, unidentified individuals have been targeting parked vehicles and stealing petrol during the night. Some of these incidents have been captured on CCTV cameras in the locality, showing suspects extracting fuel from two-wheelers.
