Jaipur, Feb. 17 -- The issue of of cow slaughter and demand of according status of "Rajya Mata"(state-mother) to Gau-Mata, rocked the Rajasthan Assembly today as pandemonium, slogans in the well and repeated adjournments marred the proceedings in the House.
The trouble erupted almost right from the beginning during the Question Hour as a question from the ruling BJP member Balmukundacharya, wanted status of Rajya Mata for cow and effective curb on the trafficking of bovines.
The demand of charging cow slayers under sections of murder was also raised by the BJP MLA and some other members from the Opposition benches, creating an uproar.
