Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 26 -- Writer and filmmaker Ruchir Joshi has urged young filmmakers to maintain a distinction between their livelihood and creative work, saying that cinema should remain a space for curiosity, experimentation and personal freedom.
Speaking at an 'In Conversation' session on the second day of the 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) here on Saturday, Joshi, Chairperson of the Non-Fiction Jury, shared his journey into filmmaking, the challenges of working in the pre-digital era, alternative sources of funding and the importance of accepting failure as part of the creative process.
