Bengaluru, July 21 -- Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Tuesday appeared before a Bengaluru court after being summoned in a criminal defamation case over his remarks against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), marking a fresh legal flashpoint in the Congress government's confrontation with the Sangh Parivar.
Kharge secured bail after appearing before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM), which had taken cognisance of a private complaint accusing him of making defamatory statements against the RSS and its members. The court posted the matter for further hearing.
