Mangaluru, Jan. 22 -- Karnataka police registered a case on Thursday against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, along with the organiser of an event and the owner of a YouTube channel, in connection with an alleged hate speech delivered at a private college in Puttur.

The Puttur Town Police have booked Bhat for his speech made during a programme held on January 12, which allegedly hurt communal sentiments.

The case was registered based on a complaint lodged by K Ramachandra, a resident of Puttur, who alleged that the speech contained objectionable remarks and was subsequently telecast on Vikasana TV, a local YouTube television channel.
