Nagpur, July 7 -- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) publicity chief Sunil Ambekar today subtly criticised the Maharashtra government's recent decision to mandate Hindi education from class 1, suggesting that all languages spoken in India are national languages and providing education in the mother tongue is most beneficial for students. He was speaking in reference to the state government's recent order issued under the three-language formula making Hindi compulsory for students from class 1. However, the move was met with widespread opposition from educationists, teachers, parents and intellectuals, in addition to political parties.
