Bhubaneswar, April 15 -- The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has strengthened its operational flexibility by commissioning a Dissolved Acetylene (DA) cylinder bank in its Steel Melting Shop-II (SMS-II), enabling the use of an alternative fuel for slab cutting.

The facility was inaugurated on April 14 by Director In-Charge Alok Verma in the presence of senior officials and employees. During his visit, Verma interacted with the SMS-II team, appreciated their innovative efforts, and encouraged them to strive to become the best steel melting shop in the country.
