Agartala, June 1 -- The union Minister for Power, Housing, and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, has announced substantial Central Government support for Tripura's urban infrastructure and power sector, with investments exceeding Rs 427 crore to improve civic amenities and strengthen energy capacity.
In a high-level review meeting here with Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, and senior officials from the Power and Urban Development departments, Khattar stated that Centre has allocated Rs 100 crore for the scientific waste management project for Agartala at D C Nagar dumping site, which is expected to enhance solid waste management in the city significantly.
