New Delhi, June 12 -- The National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned comedian Pranit More and web developer Himanshu Jangra in connection with remarks allegedly made during a stand-up comedy show in Gurugram that sparked widespread outrage after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Taking suo motu cognisance of media reports and the circulating footage, the Commission has directed the Haryana Police to take immediate action and submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) within seven days. The matter will also come up for hearing before the Commission on June 22.
