Chennai, Aug. 26 -- In a major haul, officials of the Customs Air IntelligenceUnit (AIU) seized two kg cocaine worth Rs 20 and 1,018 gms of gold valued atRs one crore in two separate incidents at the Anna International airport hereand arrested three passengers--a Nigerian woman and an Indian couple.
While the Nigerian woman came by a Qatar Airways flight via Doha, the Indiancouple came by an Indigo flight from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
A PIB release here said in a joint operation, the Customs and Narcotics ControlBureau (NCB) officials foiled a Cocaine smuggling attempt by seizing two kgsof the banned drug valued at Rs 20 crore.
