Agartala, July 4 -- In a significant blow to the illegal narcotics trade, a substantial consignment of suspected contraband Eskuf and Fairdyl cough syrup, valued at over Rs 2.5 crore, was seized from the parcel van of the Deoghar Express at Agartala Railway Station last night, an official said on Friday.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, police stormed the parcel van and discovered that the cough syrup bottles had been cleverly concealed inside sealed metal drums, indicating a well-planned attempt to avoid detection by enforcement agencies.
