Shimla, June 22 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday said that Rs 137.40 crore would be spent on widening and strengthening the 83-km Chail Chowk-Janjehli road in Mandi district, a project aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic development in the disaster-affected Seraj region.

The announcement was made during a meeting with various delegations from the Seraj Assembly constituency at the Chief Minister's official residence, Oak Over.

The delegations, led by Seraj Block Congress president Jagdish Reddy, discussed a range of development-related issues and invited the Chief Minister to visit the constituency.
