Patna, May 24 -- The Bihar government has released Rs 10 crore for all districts under the 'Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme' for the financial year 2026-27.

According to Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar the funds would help provide pucca houses to eligible poor families in rural areas, ensuring that no deserving household remains homeless. He said the initiative is a significant step towards fulfilling the vision of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
