Mumbai, April 25 -- A massive plan to develop data centres in the Konkan region is taking shape, with a proposed investment of Rs 1.43 lakh crore. Several companies have submitted proposals to the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to set up these facilities.

Data centres are advanced hubs designed for large-scale storage and processing of digital information. In today's digital era, the demand for such centres has grown significantly due to the rise of cloud services, online transactions, and artificial intelligence technologies.
