Hyderabad, May 27 -- The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of South Central Railway achieved breakthroughs under "Operation Satark" and "Operation Narcos" by seizing Rs 1.22 crore in unaccounted cash and busting an inter-state drug racket involving marijuana worth Rs 41.5 lakh.

Under Operation Satark, RPF personnel of the Hyderabad Division seized Rs 1,22,70,000 in unaccounted cash from a passenger travelling on Train No. 17057 Devagiri Express on May 26.

The cash was detected after Crime Prevention and Detection Squad (CPDS) personnel noticed suspicious behaviour during routine checks. Two bags containing the cash were recovered, and preliminary inquiry revealed that the money was allegedly being transported from Zaveri Bazaar in Mumbai to ...
