Shivamogga, June 12 -- A rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death in broad daylight in Karnataka's Shivamogga city on Friday, police said.
The deceased, identified as Narasimha, a history-sheeter from Karidevara Keri, was attacked by a group of unidentified assailants with lethal weapons in the busy Gandhi Bazaar area, creating panic among residents.
According to police, the attackers fled the scene immediately after carrying out the assault. Narasimha suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Preliminary investigations indicate that old enmity and gang rivalry could have led to the murder.
