Bhubaneswar, March 10 -- Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has achieved a significant milestone by securing key certifications required for manufacturing shipbuilding-grade steel plates, positioning itself as an important supplier to the maritime industry.
The plant has received certifications from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), along with a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). With this achievement, RSP has become the first plant under Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) to hold all three certifications simultaneously.
