Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- Rourkela Steel Plant's (RSP) Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2) has achieved a new milestone by registering its highest-ever monthly rolling of 2,48,598 tonnes (coil weight) in July 2026.
The achievement surpassed the mill's previous record of 2,47,994 tonnes, which was set in March 2026.
Adding to the plant's success, the Sheet Shearing Line also posted its best-ever monthly performance by shearing 32,721 tonnes (coil weight) during July 2026, exceeding its earlier record of 29,917 tonnes achieved in July 2025.
To mark the accomplishment, RSP Director In-Charge Alok Verma visited the mill complex and congratulated the HSM-2 team for its outstanding performance.
