Bhubaneswar, April 28 -- The Sheet Shearing Line (SSL) of Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2) at Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has achieved a landmark performance in the financial year 2025-26, setting new production benchmarks and reaffirming the plant's focus on operational excellence, innovation, and customer-centric growth.
Operating at 78 percent capacity utilization, the SSL recorded its highest-ever annual production of 0.313 million tonnes of hot-rolled plates, surpassing the previous record of 0.265 million tonnes by an impressive 18 percent.
The achievement reflects the team's sustained efforts to maximize efficiency and productivity despite challenging market conditions.
