Shimla, Feb. 21 -- The Special Sessions Court at Rohru on Saturday convicted two persons in a drug trafficking case.
The case relates to FIR No. 25/2023 dated March 20, 2023, registered under Sections 21, 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
The court sentenced Surendra Kumar (50), resident of village Nehnar, Tehsil Jubbal, and Ishaan (38), resident of village Sirthi, Tehsil Jubbal, to five years of rigorous imprisonment each. The court also ordered that both accused be sent to judicial custody to serve their sentence.
According to the prosecution, the police had recovered 13.10 grams of chitta (heroin) from their possession during investigation.
