Jamshedpur, May 31 -- Wicketkeeper-batsman Robin Minz emerged as the costliest player in the inaugural Jharkhand Premier League (JPL) auction, attracting a winning bid of Rs 15.25 lakh from Koyalanchal Super Kings.
The auction, held in Jamshedpur ahead of the first edition of the league, witnessed intense bidding among franchises for several leading cricketers from the state.
Robin Minz, whose base price was Rs 4 lakh, saw his value rise sharply following competitive bidding. The Gumla cricketer, who has previously been associated with the Mumbai Indians setup, topped the auction list.
Virat Singh was the second-highest acquisition, joining Chotanagpur Royals for Rs 13 lakh, while M.D. Kaif was picked by Jamshedpur Steelers for Rs 12.50 ...
