Patna, Feb. 28 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad has convened a meeting of party leaders on Sunday to finalise its candidate for the upcoming biennial Rajya Sabha elections.
The meeting will be held at 10 Circular Road, the official residence of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi. All MLAs, MLCs, Rajya Sabha members and senior leaders of the party are expected to attend.
The Election Commission has recently announced the schedule for elections to 37 Rajya Sabha seats, including five from Bihar. Of the five seats falling vacant in the state, three are held by the NDA and two by the RJD.
