Varanasi, Feb. 23 -- Following the divine celebration of Mahashivratri in the holy city of Kashi, the next emotional chapter in the traditions of Shiva''s marriage is set to begin.
The Gauna rituals of Mata Gauri will formally begin on Tuesday, before the historic Palki Yatra of Baba Vishwanath, which will be held on the auspicious occasion of Rangbhari (Amla) Ekadashi.
On Monday, Mahant Pt. Vachaspati Tiwari stated that this year, in keeping with Kashi''s centuries-old folk tradition, sacred turmeric consecrated with the invocation mantras of the nine Gauris and nine Durgas will be offered to Mata Gauri.
