Pune, June 1 -- Hotels and restaurants in Pimpri-Chinchwad, governed by one of the richest municipal corporations in the country, are likely to increase food prices by nearly 20 percent as operators grapple with rising LPG costs, supply shortages, and escalating prices of essential ingredients.
According to industry representatives, the continuous increase in commercial gas prices, coupled with higher rates for leafy vegetables and chicken, has significantly raised operating expenses for hotel businesses. The situation has become particularly challenging for small and medium-sized establishments.
