London, July 9 -- India vice-captain Rishabh Pant today expressed serious concern over the condition of the Dukes ball being used in the ongoing Test series, pointing out that it is going out of shape far too frequently - an issue that has left both teams frustrated.
Pant, echoing England captain Ben Stokes' earlier comments, said the ball's irregular shape was beginning to influence play significantly. "Yes, this is a big problem. The ball is getting de-shaped too often, something I've never seen before. It's frustrating because every ball behaves differently. It's not ideal for the game," he said, during a media interaction ahead of the third Test at Lord's.
