Ranchi, May 16 -- A second-year MBBS student of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) was found dead in his hostel room on Saturday, police said.
The deceased student was identified as Akshit Kujur, a resident of Simdega district, who was staying in Hostel Number 8 of the institute.
According to officials, the student had gone to his room after dinner on Friday night. His friends found him unconscious on Saturday morning and rushed him to the Trauma Centre at RIMS, where doctors declared him dead.
Bariatu police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and initiated an investigation.
