Mumbai , June 20 -- Mumbai Police have launched a probe after two pairs of diamond-studded earrings worth Rs. 1.35 crore went missing during celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor's New York fashion trip for Met Gala 2026.
According to the details, on April 27 Rhea Kapoor's team, including longtime makeup artist Savleen Singh, departed Mumbai on Emirates flight via Dubai. Singh was carrying two jewellery boxes in her handbag, the team landed at JFK International Airport, New York, and checked into The Pierre Hotel.
When Singh opened the boxes to hand over the earrings to team member the both boxes were found empty.
