Dehradun, April 12 -- Movements of Chardham pilgrims in Uttarakhand hills will now be tracked round the clock with the help of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for their enhanced security as the pilgrimage season will start from April 19.
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has suggested Uttarakhand government to provide RFID tags to the pilgrims and devotees to implement the plan.
This system will allow the administration to track exactly how many pilgrims are present at any given location and time, making it easier to ensure their safety during disasters and improve overall facilities.
