Dimapur, Sept. 1 -- Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton introduced the revised Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) Bill, 2026, on the first day of the two-day ninth session of the 14th Nagaland assembly in Kohima on Tuesday after the assembly withdrew the earlier bill, introduced during its eighth session in March.
The bill will be taken up for consideration and passing on September 3.
Patton moved the motion to withdraw the earlier bill, with Speaker Sharingain Longkumer putting the motion before the House. The bill was withdrawn through a voice vote.
