Patna, March 18 -- Bihar government on Wednesday warned of strict action in case of any laxity in revenue collection and said that accountability would be fixed for lapses.

Bihar Mines and Geology Director Manesh Kumar Meena asserted that any laxity in revenue collection would not be accepted and accountability would be fixed for lapses.

Charing a review meeting, Meena cleared that officials lagging behind in revenue collection would be held responsible. He asked to issue explanations to officials from Lakhisarai, Gaya, Munger and Vaishali for unsatisfactory performance, while asking districts that have achieved targets to maintain consistency.
