Hyderabad, July 11 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday rejected the BRS and BJP demand to lift Godavari waters through the Kannepalli pump house, asserting that it was technically impossible without violating the directions of the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA), and offered to hand over the Kaleshwaram barrages to the NDSA for temporary operation if required.

Addressing a press conference at the MCR HRD Institute, the Chief Minister accused the BRS and BJP of running a "smear campaign" against the government over the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. He criticised BJP MP Etela Rajender for supporting the BRS narrative without consulting irrigation experts or the NDSA.
