Wanaparthy, July 15 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday asserted that education is the foundation of a brighter future and said the state's progress depends on strengthening government schools and improving the quality of education.

Speaking after inaugurating the new building of the Kothakota Girls' High School in Wanaparthy district, the Chief Minister said education enhances self-respect, transforms lives and fulfils the aspirations of parents.

He alleged that the previous government had neglected the education sector, leading to a decline in student enrolment in government schools due to poor infrastructure.
