Srinagar, Aug. 20 -- Ruling National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Thursday said that his party would continue its political struggle for restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's special status, saying the erstwhile constitutional arrangement reflected the region's "distinct and unique" relationship with the union and remained central to the party's political vision.
A party statement said Abdullah made these remarks while addressing a gathering.
Abdullah said that although the constitutional provisions relating to Jammu and Kashmir had been "altered unilaterally", the National Conference would continue its struggle for their restoration.
