Patna, June 2 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha today said that addressing the problems faced by sugarcane farmers is among the state government's top priorities and assured that every effort would be made to resolve their concerns promptly.
While interacting with a high-level delegation of the Bihar Sugar Mills Association, Sinha took immediate cognizance of the issues of the sugarcane farmers and said there was no shortage of fertilizers in the state.
He directed the Principal Secretary and Director of the Agriculture Department to ensure priority-based arrangements for urea supply to sugarcane farmers. He emphasised that timely availability of fertilizers would help prevent crop damage and safeguard farmers' incomes.
