Deoria, Sept. 6 -- union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare and Apna Dal (Sonelal) national president Anupriya Patel on Sunday said reservation would continue to exist as long as discrimination persists in society, asserting that no one can alter the constitutional right.

Addressing a district-level workers' gathering at the Town Hall Auditorium here, Patel said reservation was neither charity nor alms, but a constitutional provision aimed at ensuring representation for socially and educationally backward, Dalit, deprived and oppressed sections.
