New Delhi, July 15 -- Delhi LG Taranjit Sandhu on Wednesday emphasized the importance of scientific inquiry, evidence-based research, innovation, and global collaboration to strengthen Ayurveda's role in advancing patient-centric healthcare and enhancing its global recognition.
Sandhu on Wednesday took part in the "Saushrutam 2026," the international seminar on Shalya Tantra and Sushruta Jayanti, which was also graced by President Droupadi Murmu, at the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi.
The LG paid tribute to Acharya Sushruta, who is widely revered as the 'father of surgery', and highlighted his pioneering contributions to surgery and India's enduring medical heritage.
