New Delhi, April 29 -- In a relief to farmers facing problems following adverse weather conditions affecting crops in the national capital's rural belt, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced relaxations on procurement of wheat, which was affected the most.
The Chief Minister has said the government wants to ease farmers' distress and prevent them from resorting to distress sales at lower prices.
She said that acting on a request sent by the Delhi government to the Centre on April 21, special relaxations in quality standards for wheat procurement have been approved for all districts of the national capital for the rabi marketing season (RMS) 2026-27.
