Hyderabad, March 30 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Monday demanded that the Telangana government immediately release pending funds to gram panchayats, alleging that allocations under the 15th Finance Commission are being diverted.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP office in Nampally, Ramchander Rao said members of the Telangana Sarpanch Sangam met him earlier in the day and submitted a representation highlighting their grievances. According to him, funds released by the Central government for village development have not been reaching the intended beneficiaries.
