Shimla, Jan. 7 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court on Wednesday deferred the hearing of the election petition filed by Congress leader and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi challenging the Rajya Sabha election of BJP leader Harsh Mahajan to March 10, after the winter vacation.

The matter was heard by the single bench of Justice Bipin Chandra Negi. During the proceedings, counsel appearing for the petitioner informed the court that a rejoinder had been filed in response to objections raised by the respondent, particularly against the submission of a long list of witnesses and documentary evidence. The court ordered that the rejoinder be taken on record, subject to it being found in order.
