Baijnath (Kangra), May 30 -- A rehearsal for officials and employees deputed for vote counting of the 2026 Zila Parishad and Block Development Committee (BDC) elections was conducted at the Savings Hall in Baijnath on Friday to ensure smooth and successful counting operations scheduled for May 31.
The rehearsal was held under the supervision of Returning Officer for Zila Parishad and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sankalp Gautam and Returning Officer for BDC and Tehsildar Raman Thakur.
During the exercise, officials and staff were briefed in detail about various aspects of the counting process, including scrutiny of ballot papers, counting of votes, preparation of results and adherence to Election Commission guidelines.
