Aizawl, March 2 -- Mizoram Home Minister K Sapdanga on Monday informed the state Assembly that credible inputs indicate some Myanmarese refugees, who have taken shelter in the state, are engaging in trading activities, despite legal provisions barring them from doing business.
Responding to supplementary questions after replying to a starred query from K Beichhua of the BJP, the Minister said the government has taken note of such instances and acted accordingly. "Reports of refugees indulging in trade are being pursued by the authorities. Some have been arrested and are facing trial in the courts," he told the House.
