Ashok RainaDharamshala, Aug. 5 -- Police have recovered cash, gold, diamond jewellery and important documents worth nearly Rs 2 crore in connection with a major criminal breach of trust and theft case registered at Rakkar police station in Kangra district, officials said on Wednesday.
Dehra district superintendent of Police Sandeep Dhawal told UNI that the case (FIR No. 36/2026) was registered on June 29, 2026, under Sections 316(2) and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a complaint by Avinash, son of Des Raj, a resident of Mouan village in Rakkar tehsil.
The complainant alleged that his relatives had dishonestly misappropriated around 4 to 4.5 kg of gold, silver and diamond jewellery, cash, a passport and land documents...
